Louis van Gaal: 'We are not out of Premier League title race'

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal insists that his team will battle to the bitter end in their quest to pip Chelsea to the Premier League title.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is adamant that his side are not out of the race to win the Premier League yet.

The Red Devils moved into third place in the table as a result of Saturday's 3-1 win over Aston Villa, but Van Gaal's side still remain eight points behind leaders Chelsea following their victory over Stoke City.

However, the Dutchman has insisted that his team will fight to the bitter end to wrestle the crown away from Jose Mourinho's men.

Van Gaal told reporters: "I'm looking higher up [than getting into the Champions League].

"We will have to win every week to do this. But when you give pressure it is possible. Arsenal are also putting on pressure. So you never know."

United face bitter rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford in their next top-flight outing.
