Wayne Rooney hails Radamel Falcao signing

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney hails the club's signing of Radamel Falcao, who has moved to Old Trafford on loan from Monaco.

Wayne Rooney has hailed Manchester United's signing of Radamel Falcao.

Falcao completed a season-long loan move from Monaco to Old Trafford late last night and could make his United debut alongside Rooney against Queens Park Rangers next weekend.

Rooney, who is currently on England duty, was full of praise for the Colombian when questioned on the signing at a press conference.

"It's a fantastic signing. He's one of the best players in the world and it's a real statement of intent," he told reporters.

Rooney has scored one of United's two Premier League goals this season.
