Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, Joe Hart and David Silva are all nominated for the Professional Footballers Association Player of the Year award.

Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, Joe Hart and David Silva have all been nominated for the Professional Footballers Association Player of the Year award.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker has also made the list, alongside Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie and Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney.

Parker, last season's winner, has been a key part of the Spurs side fighting for Champions League football this season, while Van Persie has struck 34 goals for the Gunners in all competitions.

Rooney, meanwhile, has netted 24 league goals for United this season, and the club are currently leading the Premier League.

Van Persie has been installed as the early bookmakers' favourite, ahead of Silva and Rooney.
