Scott McTominay: Manchester United's form is "not OK"

Scott McTominay slams Manchester United's performance against West Ham United on Sunday, declaring that the display was "not OK".

Scott McTominay has insisted that Manchester United's performance during a 2-0 defeat away to West Ham United was unacceptable.

The Red Devils produced a display devoid of invention or precision as goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell condemned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to their second defeat in seven games this season.

United, currently eighth in the Premier League table, have only won five of their last 16 games in all competitions.

Following the final whistle at the London Stadium, McTominay told MUTV: "It's up to us now, with all the leaders in the group that we've got we need to bring everyone together and keep our heads. It's not the time to back down and say 'this is ok'. It's not ok! We need to do more on and off and pitch.

"The manager has reiterated that, how it's about the standards of this football club and they weren't there today. It's sickening when you come in and that's the result.

"It's so tough to take and it's difficult for all our fans as well who were unbelievable all game. Unfortunately we didn't send them back with three points."

United have come in for heavy criticism following the display in East London, with former manager Jose Mourinho sticking the knife in by insisting that the team was in a worse state compared to when he was in charge last year.

Amid calls for Solskjaer to be removed by some sections of the club's support, both Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville have argued that the Norwegian deserves more time to prove himself.
