Roy Keane suggests that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur's indifferent form this season means that Manchester United can still finish in the top four.

Roy Keane has suggested that indifferent starts to the 2019-20 campaign from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur means that Manchester United can still finish in the top four.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were widely chastised for a poor performance against West Ham United which saw them lose 2-0.

At the same time, however, Tottenham once again dropped points by throwing away a 1-0 lead to lose at Leicester City, while Arsenal had to rely on a late comeback to beat strugglers Aston Villa at home.

Speaking on Sky Sports News about United's top-four credentials, Keane said: "A couple of weeks ago I'd have said I wasn't sure about the top four for United but having looked at Tottenham and Arsenal over the last few weeks, I think United should be expecting to finish fourth.

"It's there for the taking. It's there for a lot of teams and United, with the players that they have, should be capable of doing it."

United, Tottenham and Chelsea all find themselves on eight points after six matchdays, while Arsenal took their tally to 11 with victory at the Emirates.

Last season's race for the Champions League saw United and Arsenal miss out, with both sides rapidly losing steam towards the end of the campaign.
