Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs admits that he is "crazy" as he enters his 23rd season of professional football.

Manchester United veteran winger Ryan Giggs has described himself as "crazy" as he enters his 23rd season in professional football.

The 39-year-old signed another one-year deal at the club after proving that he can still put in effective performances last season.

When asked about the longevity of his career, Giggs revealed that he is enjoying his football as much as he did when he started as a youngster.

"Crazy, aren't I?" Giggs told reporters on the club's pre-season tour. "I'm enjoying it just as much as I did 20 years ago. It's as simple as that.

"Every year is a bonus to me. Take last year: winning the league, that feeling you have after the hard work you put in. Winning that trophy makes it all worthwhile.

"The thing about Manchester United is you have to do it all over again. This is the start of the journey this season and I hope to be lifting a trophy again at the end of it. We have to put the hard work in now in order to achieve that."

Giggs has won a record 13 Premier League titles in his career at Old Trafford.
