Angel di Maria, Louis van Gaal involved in Anfield fall-out?

Louis van Gaal reportedly slammed the performance of Angel di Maria following the weekend victory over Liverpool, which casts the forward's future into further doubt.

Angel di Maria's Manchester United future has been thrown further into doubt after the star forward was reportedly berated by manager Louis van Gaal following last weekend's victory over Liverpool.

The Dutchman is said to have been unhappy with the performance of the club's record signing, who has failed to live up to expectation since making a £59.7m switch from Real Madrid last summer.

It is claimed by The Sun that the 27-year-old, who has lost his place in the starting lineup to Ashley Young, felt the full wrath of Van Gaal on the back of a disappointing substitute appearance against the Reds at Anfield.

Di Maria's time at Old Trafford is rumoured to be coming to an abrupt end, with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona both said to be interested in securing his signature.

Radamel Falcao, another player who has struggled to truly settle at United, could also be on his way at the end of the season, having admitted that he needs to play football on a more regular basis.
