Dante: 'I'm not joining Manchester United'

Bayern Munich defender Dante says that he has no intention of joining Manchester United.

Bayern Munich defender Dante has played down speculation linking him with a summer move to Manchester United.

The Brazilian centre-back has been strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford in recent weeks as manager Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his defensive options.

However, the 31-year-old, who has won six major titles in his three years at the Allianz Arena, says that he is not ready to leave the Bavarians just yet.

"[I see my future] with FC Bayern," he told the Bundesliga website. "I've been playing here for three years now and I know every single day how fortunate I am to be able to play for such a big club. I enjoy every day here.

"Just think, I've been in at least the semi-finals of the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal Cup in each of these three years, and won the Bundesliga each time. It can hardly get any better than that. I'll always give everything for this club."

The Brazil international, who joined from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012, has two more years to run on his Bayern deal.
