Ray Wilkins angered by Ashley Young

Former England midfielder Ray Wilkins slams Manchester United winger Ashley Young for a perceived dive against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

Former England midfielder Ray Wilkins has labelled the situation surrounding Ashley Young's apparent dive against Real Sociedad in the Champions League as "pathetic", while also calling on the winger to cut it out of his game.

Young was involved in United winning a penalty following a tackle from Markel Bergara, with the watching jury split as to whether or not the player went down too easily under the challenge.

"This is pathetic. This is as bad for me as all these over-the-top tackles we're getting at the moment because that is a conning of the referee," said Wilkins after the game.

"I just wish Ashley would cut this out because he's a good player but he's getting a bad name."

United remain top of Champions League Group A with eight points gained from four games.
