Robin van Persie: 'I won't blame David Moyes for defeat'

Robin van Persie refuses to point the finger at David Moyes following the 2-0 defeat to Olympiacos.

Robin van Persie has refused to blame Manchester United manager David Moyes for the Champions League defeat to Olympiacos on Tuesday evening.

Moyes took responsibility for the 2-0 loss in Greece as United left themselves a mountain to climb to earn a spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.

"He's working hard at it, and so are we. Sometimes we play well, but not all the time. We don't have luck on our side," Van Persie told reporters.

"It's easy to point the finger at someone, but I'm not like that. We have to do better."

United host Olympiacos in the second leg on March 19.
