Darren Fletcher is included in Manchester United's Champions League squad after missing the past nine months with ulcerative colitis.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has included midfielder Darren Fletcher in the club's 25-man Champions League squad.

Fletcher has not played a competitive match for the club since November 2011 after it was revealed that he was suffering with ulcerative colitis.

The 28-year-old did feature in a testimonial match during pre-season but he has yet to play in any of Manchester United's Premier League games this season.

Manchester United have been drawn to play Braga, Galatasaray and CFR Cluj during the competition's group stage.
