Stuart Taylor to sign Reading contract

Stuart Taylor will reportedly sign a one-year contract with Reading after being released by Manchester City.

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Stuart Taylor will reportedly sign a one-year contract with newly-promoted Reading.

Taylor was released by the Premier League champions at the end of last season after making just one appearance in three years.

He has been training with the Royals since and manager Brian McDermott has been sufficiently impressed to offer Taylor a 12-month deal, according to Sky Sports News.

The 31-year-old, who has also had spells with Arsenal and Aston Villa, will provide competition for Adam Federici in the Reading net.
