Manchester City are reportedly lining up a move for Porto defender Nicolas Otamendi.
City scout Rob Newman was dispatched to Portugal recently to watch the central defender in action, with a view to a January swoop, according to Goal.com.
Porto are said to value the Argentina defender at around £25m, and a move in the winter transfer window could be forthcoming from City.
