Joe Hart 'yet to be offered new Manchester City deal'

Joe Hart is yet to be offered a new contract by Manchester City as he enters the final two years of his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, according to reports.

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is reportedly still waiting to receive a new contract offer from the Premier League champions after entering the final two years of his current deal.

According to the Daily Mail, Blues boss Manuel Pellegrini has moved to reassure the England international that he still first-choice keeper at the Etihad Stadium, despite sitting out the Community Shield at Wembley in favour of new signing Willy Caballero.

It is thought that a new deal had been mooted at the end of last season, but the club have since prioritised contract negotiations for other players, such as Vincent Kompany and David Silva.

City kick off their Premier League title defence away to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
