Adriano Galliani says that Milan still hope to sign Tevez
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has said that the Italian champions have been told to stump up more cash for Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.
The controversial striker is currently back home in Argentina as his club begin the process of trying to offload him.
AC Milan have been consistently linked with Tevez and Galliani has insisted the deal is not dead yet.
"At the moment Manchester City do not agree to our offer for Tevez," the Rossoneri chief said.
"If it is accepted, then good, otherwise he won't come to us.
"We will meet with City again and try to convince them from here to January 31st. If we do not succeed, then either another striker will arrive or nobody at all."
Tevez was City's top goalscorer last season with 24 goals.
