Toure's future with Manchester City is in doubt due to a number of disagreements between him and the club, but Sagna is hopeful that he will get the opportunity to achieve success alongside the Ivorian at the Etihad Stadium.
"To me, Yaya is actually the best midfield player in the world," the 31-year-old, who agreed to move to City following the expiration of his Arsenal contract, told reporters.
"He is such a great player, he brings a lot of qualities to Man City. Of course I would be delighted to play with him - and he's still a Man City player so I don't have another point of view."
Toure recently accused City of denying him the opportunity to spend time with his younger brother Ibrahim, who since lost his battle with cancer.
