Manchester City boss concerned after latest loss at hands of Burnley

Manchester City are "doing something wrong", Manuel Pellegrini admits after their defeat at Burnley.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted that his side are not performing at their best after they lost 1-0 away at Burnley this evening.

George Boyd scored the only goal of the game as the Premier League champions slumped to their fifth defeat of the season, and their third defeat in four games.

Pellegrini told BBC Sport: "Of course we're doing something wrong as we are not winning the games we normally do. I don't want to focus on two or three players. We are a team, a squad of 22 players, and I'm sure they're given the most they can. It's important to continue trusting what they are doing."

Of the game, he said: "It was a normal performance and I don't think we played very badly. We created more chances, they had one shot on target and got a beautiful goal. We didn't create enough to score, but we were very unlucky."

City now sit five points behind leaders Chelsea, and the London side have two games in hand.
