Manuel Pellegrini: 'We must react with balance and personality'

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini insists that his side must react to their recent Champions League defeat with balance and personality when they take on Queens Park Rangers.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his team needs to react with balance and personality following their midweek Champions League defeat as they prepare to face Queens Park Rangers this evening.

City were on the end of a shock 2-1 home loss at the hands of CSKA Moscow, but the Chilean coach has said that his players will now need to focus on maintaining their Premier League performances having made changes for the visit to London.

"We have to react with balance and with personality. We must carry on as we have been playing in the Premier league," said Pellegrini, according to BBC Sport.

"We needed a fresh team, physically and mentally. I spoke to the doctors and my technical staff and this is the best team."

Pellegrini's side currently occupy third position in the Premier League table.
