Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini hails "brilliant" David Silva

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini heaps praise on David Silva following the team's 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has praised David Silva for a "brilliant performance" during last night's victory over West Bromwich Albion.

The Blues got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start at The Hawthorns thanks to a resounding 3-0 triumph.

Silva played a key role in the one-sided result, leading Pellegrini to laud the Spanish international midfielder.

"I enjoy when technical players play in a technical way," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"David Silva played a brilliant performance, especially in the first half, and not making any mistakes."

Manchester City are back in action on Sunday when they welcome champions Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium.
