Manuel Pellegrini calls for Manchester City consistency

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini wants his side to maintain their good start to the Premier League season.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that he is looking for his side to maintain their strong start to the Premier League season.

City made it three wins from three on Sunday as they beat Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park.

City have not conceded in the league yet this season and Pellegrini wants the team to remain consistent throughout the campaign.

"We are in a new season and we have started playing well in three games. We are a consistent team, a solid team, have shown we can score goals in every game and have three clean sheets. That is important," the Chilean told Eurosport.

"But we are just starting the season, we have to continue in the way we are doing so far. The thing is to be a consistent team from the beginning until the end."

City have won their last nine top-flight games in a row, their best run since 1912.
