James Milner: Manchester City "will be back"

Manchester City midfielder James Milner believes that his side will be a stronger side next season after failing to defend their Premier League title this campaign.

James Milner has insisted that Manchester City will mount a stronger challenge for the Premier League title next season.

As defending champions, the Citizens have failed to keep up with this year's winners Chelsea, who are currently 10 points better off with a game in hand.

However, speaking after his side's 6-0 win over Queens Park Rangers this afternoon, Milner vowed that City will pusher harder during the 2015-16 campaign.

"We haven't been good enough for long spells of the season and we have come up short, but I'm sure we will be back," the 29-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"The quality is there and the hunger is there. There will be new faces in the summer, I'm sure we will be back."

City's two remaining fixtures this term see them travel to Swansea City and play host to Southampton.
