Fenerbahce join Patrick Vieira race?

Fenerbahce will compete with Newcastle United to make Patrick Vieira their next manager, according to a report.

Newcastle United could reportedly face competition for Patrick Vieira's services from Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The Magpies are said to be in talks with the Manchester City elite development manager about becoming head coach at St James' Park.

Fenerbahce are looking for a new manager after Ismail Kartal resigned from his post following the end of the Turkish Super Lig season.

According to The Chronicle, the Istanbul outfit have identified Vieira as Kartal's successor and are looking to rival Newcastle for the Frenchman's signature.

Newcastle are also reportedly looking at former Derby County boss Steve McClaren.
