Team News: Andy Carroll starts for West Ham United

Andy Carroll starts for West Ham United as they take on Manchester City in the League Cup semi-final.

Andy Carroll is in the starting XI for the first time since the final match of the 2012-13 season as West Ham United take on Manchester City in the League Cup semi-final second leg tonight.

The striker starts up front on his own, with support from Joe Cole. Ravel Morrison, who has been linked with a move away, also starts in midfield.

For Man City, Manuel Pellegrini has decided to name a strong side, with Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo in attack.

Meanwhile, Javi Garcia and Fernandinho have been chosen for the centre of midfield.
