Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace.

Manchester City will be looking to record their sixth straight win in all competitions when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's side beat Aston Villa 6-1 at Villa Park last time out, with Sergio Aguero scoring a hat-trick and overtaking Thierry Henry as the highest scoring foreign player in Premier League history in the process.

City moved up to second in the Premier League as a result of their win, after Leicester City lost 2-1 to Southampton the previous day.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Palace's trip to the Etihad.

Leroy Sane is closing in a return from a long-term knee injury, but will not be fit in time to face Crystal Palace on Saturday. The German winger has been linked with Bayern Munich regularly during his absence and is expected to return to the match day squad in February.

Aymeric Laporte underwent surgery earlier this season after damaging knee cartilage and is now closing in on a return. The Frenchman is back in training and it is hoped he could make his return to first team action next month.
