Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League showdown with Bournemouth.

VAR was once against the biggest talking point as Manchester City drew their second Premier League game of the season 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur.

Gabriel Jesus thought he had won Pep Guardiola's side all three points at the Etihad, only for his injury time strike to be ruled out for a handball in the build-up.

City now travel to face Eddie Howe's Bournemouth on Sunday as they look to get back to winning ways.

Benjamin Mendy

French full-back Mendy has spent most of his time with City on the treatment table and, while he is training with the first-team again, he is not expected to be considered for first-team action until after the international break.


Leroy Sane

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 29 (vs. Arsenal)

Long-time Bayern Munich target Sane picked up a serious ACL injury in the first half of the Community Shield and is expected to be out of action for at least seven months.


John Stones

Type of injury: Quadriceps
Possible return date: Unknown

Stones started City's opening game of the season against West Ham United but was left out of the squad to face Spurs after picking up a quadriceps injury. It is not clear yet how much time the England international will miss.
