David Silva is likely to miss the FA Cup semi-final with a hamstring injury.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that David Silva is likely to miss his side's FA Cup semi-final showdown with Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.

The Spaniard sustained an injury to his hamstring in the 2-1 win over Manchester United on Monday, and he was replaced late on by Joleon Lescott at Old Trafford.

However, the win seems to have come at a cost for the midfielder, as he looks unlikely to play a part in the competition at the weekend.

"Maybe it is not so bad, but I don't think he will be ready for Chelsea," Mancini told ESPN.

Should City advance past Chelsea then they will face the winner of Wigan Athletic versus Millwall in the final.
