FA Cup final between Manchester City, Wigan Athletic given evening kickoff

Wembley
The Football Association announce that the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic will be an evening kickoff.

The FA Cup final will be played in the evening and not in the afternoon for the second year in a row, the Football Association have confirmed.

Manchester City and Wigan Athletic will fight for the trophy this year after overcoming holders Chelsea and Millwall respectively in the semi-finals.

The English football governing body have announced that the two Premier League rivals will go head-to-head at 5.15pm on Saturday, May 11.

This decision follows on from last year's evening final between Chelsea and Liverpool.
