Manchester City could take a significant step closer to another leg of a potential quadruple when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley on Saturday.

Having already wrapped up the EFL Cup, Pep Guardiola's side currently sit top of the Premier League table and have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while only 180 minutes potentially separate them from FA Cup glory too.

The FA Cup is the only major domestic trophy to have eluded Guardiola in his managerial career so far, and after a major scare against Swansea City in the last round he will be desperate to avoid an upset in London.

There is an interesting balance for Guardiola to strike considering both the importance of Saturday's match and then again on Tuesday for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final with Tottenham Hotspur.

Rotation is expected from the win over Cardiff City in midweek, although Gabriel Jesus is likely to keep his place, with Guardiola unwilling to take any unnecessary risks with Sergio Aguero's fitness ahead of the Spurs clash.

The fact that Guardiola made just one change - which was enforced - against Cardiff suggests that not many of those who featured on Wednesday will do so again at the weekend, although Phil Foden's performance may have been enough for the youngster to have earned another start.

Kevin De Bruyne was the man of the match on Wednesday but could be rested alongside the likes of Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte, with Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan among the star names able to replace them.

Bernardo Silva was given a rare rest in midweek and will be pushing for a recall on Saturday to give another sign of Man City's strength in depth - although that has been stretched thin at full-back.

An injury to Oleksandr Zinchenko against Cardiff leaves left-back as a problem area, and with Benjamin Mendy unlikely to be thrown straight in from the start after such a lengthy absence the most likely solution appears to be Danilo on the left and Kyle Walker at right-back.
