Luis Suarez accuses Liverpool of breaching a contractual agreement that would allow him to leave Anfield this summer following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has accused the club of breaking their contractual agreement by refusing to sell him to Arsenal.

The Gunners have had an offer of over £40m for the controversial Uruguayan rejected, but Suarez has claimed that is breaching a clause in his deal with the Reds that states that he would be allowed to leave this summer as they failed to qualify for the Champions League in the 2012-13 season.

"I want to move to play in the Champions League and there is a club offering me that opportunity," he told The Telegraph. "I have told the manager that I want to leave the club.

"They gave me their word a year ago and now I want them to honour that. It is not just something verbal with the coach but something that is written in the contract.

"I gave absolutely everything last season but it was not enough to give us a top-four finish. Now all I want is that Liverpool honour our agreement."

Suarez has indicated that he will take his case to the Premier League and that the PFA are offering him their full support.
