Brendan Rodgers says that there are no "imminent" transfers to be made at Liverpool.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that the club have no "imminent" plans to bring new players into Anfield.

The Northern Irishman has been open about his desire to strengthen following the acquisitions of defender Kolo Toure, forward Iago Aspas, midfielder Luis Alberto and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Despite reports that the Premier League outfit are ready to launch a £30m bid for Anzhi Makhachkala star Willian, Rodgers has stated that there is no movement with regards to transfers.

"There's a number of players we've been linked with, but nothing imminent," Rodgers said in a press conference.

The Reds boss also refused to discuss the future of wantaway striker Luis Suarez.
