Liverpool are lining up a £17.1m bid for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to reports.

Liverpool have expressed an interest in making a bid for Newcastle United's Moussa Sissoko, according to reports.

The 25-year-old midfielder has shone for the Magpies in recent months, his consistent and dynamic displays for the Tyneside club one of their bright points in a season which saw Premier League survival achieved on the final day.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Liverpool are lining up a £17.1m offer for the France international in a bid to reinvigorate their squad.

Sissoko has played 81 times for Newcastle since his move from Toulouse in 2013.
