Sevilla president Jose Castro is confident that Ivan Rakitic will remain at the club this summer.

The Croatian international is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in European football, with his form over the last 12 months drawing a host of outside interest.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for the 26-year-old, but Castro believes that Rakitic will commit his future to the La Liga side.

"I see him at Sevilla next season, he's really comfortable here and the fans love him," he told Onda Cero.

Rakitic has scored 12 times this season, in addition to registering 16 assists.
