Alexis Sanchez's representative rubbishes speculation linking the attacker with a transfer away from Barcelona.

The agent of Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez has insisted that his client will not be leaving the Spanish club.

Recent reports had claimed that the Chilean international had decided to leave the Nou Camp in the January, with Liverpool and a handful of other Premier League clubs said to be interested in his services.

However, his representative Fernando Felicevich has stated that there is no reason for the 23-year-old to seek new pastures.

"Alexis will stay in Barcelona," Felicevich told todomercadoweb.es. "He has no reason to leave as he is in the best team in the world. Barcelona will not sell Alexis in any case. He has returned after injury and played well."

Sanchez joined Barca in the summer of 2011 from Italian outfit Udinese.
