Team News: Daniel Sturridge leads much-changed Liverpool side for Tottenham EFL Cup clash

Daniel Sturridge starts in a much-changed Liverpool side for tonight's EFL Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has selected Daniel Sturridge to lead the line in a much-changed lineup for tonight's EFL Cup fourth-round clash against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The German boss has made wholesale changes to the team, with Trent Alexander-Arnold making his debut and Ovie Ejaria receiving his first start.

Simon Mignolet will be in goal this evening in place of the new number one Loris Karius, while Lucas Leiva, Alberto Moreno, Ragnar Klavan and Georginio Wijnaldum come into the side.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino has made 10 changes to his team, with Eric Dier being the sole survivor from last weekend's goalless draw with Bournemouth.

Eighteen-year-old American Cameron Carter-Vickers is handed a starting spot, while Georges-Kevin NKoudou has been given his first start in the first XI.

Dier will captain the North London club this evening, while Lucas will don the skipper's armband for Liverpool as Jordan Henderson is suspended.
