Swansea City defender Ashley Williams reveals that there will be no "sentiment" when his side face off against old boss Brendan Rodgers at Anfield next week.
Swansea City defender Ashley Williams has insisted that there will be no "sentiment" when his side face old boss Brendan Rodgers on Sunday.
The Swans travel to Anfield looking to repeat their performance from their League Cup tie with the Reds when they ran out 3-1 winners.
Williams told Wales Online: "Yes, there's the fact [Joey Allen's] there and obviously Brendan is there so it's going to be massive in that respect.
"But I wouldn't say there's a sentimental edge. It'll probably always be like that and it'll be the same when we play Wigan with Roberto [Martinez]."
Michael Laudrup's side are currently seventh in the Premier League, two places and one point above Liverpool.
