Martin Skrtel wants to play Manchester City every week

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel admits he would not mind playing Manchester City every week after he scored in his side's 4-1 win.

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has admitted that he would be happy to play Manchester City every week after he scored his fourth goal against the Sky Blues in his side's 4-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.

The Slovakian international rounded off the scoring with a half-volleyed effort late on, and Skrtel has now scored more goals against Manuel Pellegrini's men than any other club in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old told BBC Sport: "It is the fourth goal I have scored against City, I wouldn't mind playing them every week. The way we played in the first half was brilliant."

The victory moves Liverpool up to ninth in the Premier League table and six points off their Saturday evening opponents.
