Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers believes that Jose Enrique can go on to be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that Jose Enrique has the potential to be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.

The Spanish defender, 27, has featured in all eight of the Reds' competitive matches so far this season.

"He has all the attributes to be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League," the Liverpool boss told the club's official website.

"He's a threat when he goes forward and defensively he's very difficult to beat.
There's no doubt that on his day he's one of the best in that position in this country."

Enrique joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in 2011 for £5m.
