Liverpool's Simon Mignolet looks to home advantage against Manchester City

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet believes that the fans at Anfield can push the team to victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet believes that the supporters at Anfield will push the team to clinch victory over Manchester City.

The Reds welcome their Premier League title rivals to Merseyside on Sunday with a two-point lead at the top of the table.

Earlier in the season, Liverpool suffered a 2-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium.

"It's a totally different picture when we play at home," the Liverpool Echo quotes Mignolet as saying. "With the support from the fans we can get the three points.

"We take one game at a time and it's why the next one is important. The one away from home against Man City – we won't think about that when it's kickoff time on Sunday.

"It's about making sure we put in the performance that we want to and we do our jobs the best we can do this Sunday."

Liverpool have five games left to play in their campaign, while City have seven.
