Liverpool defender Ryan McLaughlin pulls out of the Northern Ireland squad ahead their European Championship qualifier against Hungary.

Liverpool defender Ryan McLaughlin has withdrawn from the Northern Ireland squad for their European Championship qualifier against Hungary through injury.

The 19-year-old has returned to his club after picking up a knee problem during training with the national team.

"Gutted I had to pull out of the NI squad," he tweeted. "Injuries always comes at the worst time, hope to be back in a couple of weeks."

Northern Ireland get their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign underway in Budapest on Sunday.
