Lewis Holtby: 'We have the ability to stop Luis Suarez'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby believes that his side are capable of handling Liverpool striker Luis Suarez at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby has revealed that he took confidence from Hull City's defensive performance against Liverpool striker Luis Suarez earlier this month.

Hull recorded a 3-1 victory over the Merseyside outfit, restricting them to a set-piece goal, and Holtby believes that Spurs need to approach Sunday's fixture in a similar style to stop Suarez from adding to his Premier League tally for this campaign.

The 23-year-old told reporters: "In the last couple of games, you have seen how deadly they are, especially with Suarez up front in cracking form.

"But we have the ability to stop him and if you see the game that they lost against Hull, defensively they did really well against Suarez. We have to do similar things."

Spurs will move level on points with Liverpool if they can win at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
