Roberto Firmino relishing Liverpool challenge

Liverpool summer signing Roberto Firmino reveals that he is looking forward to plying his trade in the Premier League.

Roberto Firmino has revealed that he is relishing the challenge of playing in the Premier League with Liverpool.

The Brazilian forward joined the Reds from Hoffenheim last month for a reported fee of around £30m.

While suggesting that it may take him some time to settle in at Anfield, the 23-year-old is confident that he can experience success with the Merseysiders.

"First and foremost, I'm looking forward to the new challenge and I'm excited to see what the Premier League has to offer," he is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

"Of course everything will once again be new to me at the start. I'm going to have to get used to a new playing style, but I'll also get the opportunity to improve my game even further there. Obviously I'd like to establish myself as a starter in my new team and go on to celebrate a lot of success at Liverpool."

Firmino scored 47 goals in 151 appearances after joining Hoffenheim from Figueirense in 2010.
