Mario Balotelli 'speechless' over disallowed FA Cup goal

Mario Balotelli takes to Instagram to express his disbelief over his disallowed goal in Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final defeat to Aston Villa.

Mario Balotelli has taken to social media to address his disallowed goal in Liverpool's 2-1 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Aston Villa this afternoon.

Goals from Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph cancelled out Philippe Coutinho's opener as the Reds fell at the penultimate hurdle at Wembley.

However, Balotelli looked to have equalised when he slotted beyond Shay Given, only for the goal to be chalked off for offisde, with replays proving that it should have stood.

He wrote on Instagram: "No words. This picture say it all. (Congratulation to Aston Villa) anyway. And guys HEAD UP we are Liverpool and YNWA especially when we lose."

Manager Brendan Rodgers had no complaints over the result, however, insisting that his Liverpool charges were "second best".
