Udinese defender Andrea Coda says that Liverpool are "an historic club" ahead of their Europa League encounter on Thursday.

Udinese defender Andrea Coda has revealed that he has dreamed of playing at Anfield since he was a child.

Zebrette travel to face Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday, giving the 27-year-old the chance to fulfil his ambition.

"Liverpool are a historic team," he told Tuttoudinese.it. "It is a fantastic stadium that when you're a child, you dream of playing in.

"The game mitigates somewhat the failure to qualify for the Champions League. We are ready for the challenge. We have a tough group, but is an important competition that must be honoured."

Coda joined Udinese in 2006.
