Martin Skrtel: Liverpool "to fight for every single point"

Martin Skrtel issues a Champions League rallying cry ahead of Liverpool's trip to Hull City.

Martin Skrtel has insisted that Liverpool are prepared "to fight for every single point" in their battle to secure Champions League football.

Realistically, the Reds, who trail fourth-placed rivals Manchester United by seven points, need to win all five of their remaining matches to secure their place in Europe's top club competition.

They take on Hull City at the KC Stadium tonight and ahead of that encounter, Skrtel believes that the squad possesses the necessary battling qualities to come through.

"We have five more games to play and we are ready to fight for every single point," he told his official website.

"We play against Hull City and we need to win this game in order to keep our chances of reaching Champions League alive.

"It will not be easy because they are trying to avoid relegation and we must win this game, but I think we have the quality and we are ready to show it on the pitch."

Liverpool have failed to win on their last two visits to Humberside.
