Levante fight back to hold Getafe

Levante come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Getafe in their La Liga match.

Nikos Karabelas scored a late equaliser as Levante came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw in their La Liga match against Getafe this evening.

Angel Lafita almost gave the visitors the perfect start in the fifth minute, but after working some room inside the box, his effort came back off the post.

David Navarro then headed over and Jose Morales fired wide as the hosts began to dominate the match.

Following a goalless first half, Karim Yoda gave the visitors the lead 10 minutes after the break, when he raced onto Mehdi Lacen's pass before sliding an effort into the bottom corner.

Getafe's lead did not last long, as Levante equalised in the 71st minute through Karabelas, who powerfully headed in from Lacen's cross.

The hosts then pushed for a second goal, but they struggled to create any clear-cut chances as the game finished on level terms.
