Levante midfielder Andreas Ivanschitz is expected to miss the next three to four weeks of the season after suffering a thigh injury.

The Austrian, who joined the Spanish side from Mainz in the summer, has made 27 league appearances for Levante this season.

However, the playmaker was not part of the side that lost 2-1 to Athletic Bilbao on Monday evening after picking up the injury in training.

Subsequent tests revealed that the 30-year-old suffered a torn abductor in his left thigh, which will rule him out for the next month.

Ivanschitz has scored 12 times in 67 games for his country.
