Leicester City striker David Nugent speaks of his eagerness to sign a new contract with the club.

David Nugent has revealed his desire to earn a new deal with Leicester City.

The former England international will be a free agent next summer, but he is keen to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium.

"My targets are clear - help Leicester win promotion and clinch a new contract. I love it here and hopefully, if I can keep scoring goals, I will be offered a new deal," said the 28-year-old.

"I badly want another one and I want it to be at Leicester. It's a case of so far, so good in that respect."

Nugent scored both goals during Leicester's 2-1 win over Barnsley at the weekend.
