Leicester City are set to sign Sporting Lisbon forward Islam Slimani following his impressive performances for Algeria at the World Cup, according to reports.

Leicester City are set to make a move for Algerian World Cup star Islam Slimani after his impressive World Cup, according to reports.

The Sporting Lisbon forward scored three goals to help his side reach the last 16 of the tournament before being knocked out by eventual champions Germany.

The Foxes face competition from both West Ham United and Newcastle United in the race for his signature, according to the The Mirror.

Leicester are also reportedly on the verge of signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Leonardo Ulloa, who scored 16 goals in all competitions last season.
