Leicester City sign Danny Simpson from Queens Park Rangers

Leicester wrap up the signing of QPR defender Danny Simpson on a three-year deal.

Leicester City have announced the signing of Danny Simpson from Queens Park Rangers on a three-year deal.

The 27-year-old moves to the King Power Stadium for a fee believed to be in the region of £2m.

Simpson will be unveiled to supporters ahead of this afternoon's visit of Arsenal, but is ineligible for the matchday squad.

The deal marks Nigel Pearson's second acquisition since Thursday following the Bosman signing of decorated midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.

This clash with Arsenal is scheduled to kick off at 4pm.
