Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has admitted that he may have to wait until after the weekend before he brings in any new players to the club.
The Championship side have recently been linked with loan moves for Leicester City's Matt Mills and Bolton Wanderers' Paul Robinson.
"We're looking to bring a couple in, I think everybody knows that," Warnock told Sky Sports News.
"[Mills] is one of the names mentioned and we've talked to two or three clubs about a number of players, but until there is something concrete it doesn't look like anyone will be coming in before the weekend.
"I read stories here, there and everywhere, and we just have to get on until we can get something on the dotted line."
United will be looking to get their promotion charge back on track when they host league leaders Southampton at Elland Road on Saturday.
